Located in many parts of the cooling system, there is no specific site.
TYPES
- Flanges: all those connections that are bolted with 2 or more screws to the head/block (not threaded themselves).
- Coolant connector flanges: all those connections that have their own thread/are inserted into the block/head.
- Thermostat cover: Flange in contact with the thermostat.
- Connector: allows quick and convenient connection or disconnection of some of the cooling hoses.
COMMON FAULT SYMPTOMS
- Breakage or deterioration of the sealing gaskets
FAULT EFFECTS
- Loss of coolant
- Engine overheating
