A steering angle sensor, also known as a steering wheel angle sensor, is a device used in the vehicle steering systems to measure and record the steering wheel steering angle. It provides accurate information about the position of the steering wheel and the amount of twist applied by the driver.
LOCATION
The steering angle sensor is typically located on the steering column or on the electric power steering box.
The steering angle sensor is located behind the retractor ring together with the collector ring for the airbag system. It is installed on the steering column between the combination control and the steering wheel.
