Electrically operated valve controlled by the vehicle control unit, ECU, which under certain conditions, allow to pass the pressure and/or vacuum from the intake or exhaust system to other systems or components by acting on another component.
TYPES
- EXHAUST CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE:
It opens when the Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects the need for exhaust gas recirculation, allowing the mechanical Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) to engage by creating a vacuum.
- AIR INTAKE SOLENOID VALVE o transductor de presión:
Under specific conditions, they allow the transmission of pressure/vacuum to affect the intake manifold’s geometry or influence the turbocharger’s operation.
LOCATION
They are interspersed within the vacuum lines of the systems they operate on.
