FUEL LEVEL SENSOR

FUEL LEVEL SENSOR

Device which measures the fuel level in the tank and inform the vehicle control unit, ECU, and the dashboard, allowing the driver to determine when to refuel.

LOCATION

Located on the vehicle’s fuel tank.

COMMON FAULT SYMPTOMS

  • Faults in electrical circuit
  • Faulty or badly calibrated gauges
  • Fuel pump circuit problems

FAULT EFFECTS

  • Wrong fuel level reading
  • Complete gauge failure
  • Vehicle may run out of fuel
