BBB Industries’ brands, Metalcaucho and Alfa e-Parts, hold successful endurance race to test parts
Great success in a 24-hour test with a car with spare parts from both brands
BBB Industries’ (BBB) brands, Alfa e-Parts and Metalcaucho, recently competed in an endurance car race and finished 11th out of 22 racers. It was a successful test using parts of both brands, which are owned by BBB, a global leader in the sustainable manufacturing of products for the automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial markets.
Alfa e-Parts is a new brand of electrical and electronic spare parts, and Metalcaucho is a leading European supplier of aftermarket spare parts in rubber and metal for the automotive industry, both a part of the European Division of BBB Industries.
The 24-hour race took place at the Castellolí Circuit on March 24 and 25, 2023. It was organized by Amazing Drives. Pau Gesto and Albert Vidal served as photographers. Amazing Drives offers motoring events, experiences for enthusiasts in a safe environment, such as a permanent speed circuit, with standard vehicles that have few modifications. The goal is to be a gateway to motor racing and enjoy the experience.
The car, a BMW 318ti Compact, was fitted with parts from both brands. Metalcaucho parts included boots, steering gears, engine mounts, hoses, wheel hubs, silentblocks and link bars. Alfa e-Parts included sensors, switches, thermostats and coolant flange. It was an opportunity to test the resistance and durability of Metalcaucho and Alfa e-Parts brands in a real environment while networking in a team environment. All the parts passed.
Drivers Kike García, Óscar Mas, Lluís Vial, and Víctor Giol, all took turns at the wheel. The mechanical team was led by Juan Mármol, a prominent mechanic with extensive experience in high competition He was assisted by Arnau Nieto, David Cobos, and Pablo González, all passionate about motorsports, and all members of the quality departments of Alfa e-Parts and Metalcaucho.
